Jade Pergl is a painter who lives and works in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She holds BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Pergl’s practice is grounded in themes of femininity, magic, and imagination. Which become intertwined with personal narratives and emotions. Pergl works primarily on sheer, stretched fabrics, allowing light to pass through and revealing the structural frameworks behind each piece. By exposing these supports, she invites a dialogue around the physical and conceptual boundaries of painting. This tension between surface and structure, sits at the heart of her practice. Prompting questions about control, vulnerability, and balance.
